Educational Visits – Cfp Bauer

Gian Paolo Barbieri Foundation meets the class of the Cataloging and Archiving course at the Bauer School of Photography.

The students, together with Prof. Laura Losito, visited the Foundation to deepen their studies aimed at providing a complete overview of photography and archiving methods. Through the artist’s archive, they came into direct contact with the technique and the narrative, compositional, and emotional sensitivity of Gian Paolo Barbieri. They got to know all the media that Gian Paolo Barbieri used during his artistic activity; negatives, positives, Polaroids, vintage materials, notebooks, and books enriched their knowledge of digital and analogue photography and archiving methods regarding the protection, cataloging, acquisition, and digitization of the various materials it holds.
