Gian Paolo Barbieri will be at Photo London 2019 thanks to 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS gallery, with a selection of vintage shoots of two ballet icons: Rudolf Nureyev and Maximiliano Guerra.

Movement is understood not only as physical motion but also as becoming: as a bodily and mental evolution. Gian Paolo Barbieri immortalized moments of “exploration” of space, stopping time in line with the dancers, bringing out a language of symbols that the body guards and expresses in a continuous process of form and content.
