Vivienne Westwood & Jewellery
Fondazione Gian Paolo Barbieri is pleased to announce its participation in the international exhibition Vivienne Westwood & Jewellery, which concluded its first stop at the Te Papa Museum in Wellington, New Zealand.
Produced by Nomad Exhibition and curated in collaboration with the Vivienne Westwood Maison, this extraordinary exhibition traces over forty years of creation and vision, featuring more than 550 pieces, including archival and runway jewellery, presented alongside iconic couture garments.
Within the exhibition journey, we are proud to showcase the work of Gian Paolo Barbieri, with a photograph capturing Vivienne Westwood in all her aesthetic and conceptual strength. This photograph not only celebrates the figure of a revolutionary artist but also testifies to the meeting of two powerful and unconventional visions of fashion and image.
With this exhibition, the history of jewellery becomes the common thread through which Vivienne Westwood’s visual and political language is told, where the past and future intertwine to constantly redefine the present.
