Fondazione Gian Paolo Barbieri meets the students of Ferrari Fashion School
Two group of students, accompanied by their professor Riccardo Carrapa, visited the foundation as part of their academic journey aimed at gaining a comprehensive understanding of fashion through the history of photography, focusing on the works of Gian Paolo Barbieri. With exclusive access to the Artist’s archive, the students had the opportunity to engage directly with Barbieri’s technical mastery and his narrative, compositional, and emotional sensitivity. By retracing his artistic career, they explored his creativity through all the mediums he employed throughout his work—negatives, positives, Polaroids, vintage prints, notebooks, books, and publications—broadening their knowledge of both digital and analog photography applied to the world of fashion.
